Superior Tours Vallarta and Health care Resources now offer the best deal for a tour
to San Sebastian in town!

We leave at 9.00am  from the Farmacia Guadalajara, and there is another pick up
point at VIPS/Walmart in front of the Terminal Maritima at 9.30am.
This is the only tour
in town with lunch included at the Hacienda Jalisco

Once one of the most important mining towns from the 1600's, San Sebastian
is now a quiet mountain village, located 4800 ft above sea level and an hour and a
half away from Puerto Vallarta.

Nominated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO, San Sebastian is truly an unspoiled
place to explore. Just over a century ago an estimated 30.000 people lived there.
Today, there are only about 600 people remaining. The mines are long closed but the
charm and beauty of the village is still there. On our way to San Sebastian we will
make a stop at the bridge for your pictures. Also, we will visit a place where Raicilla is
made on a very traditional way. Several generations of the Leyva family have been
making this drink.

While visiting San Sebastian, we will explore the local coffee plantation, where you can
see the whole process from the trees to the roasting of the beans and sample the
organically grown coffee. We will visit the museum of Doña Conchita and learn the
history of San Sebastian. A stroll through the main plaza and a stop at the local
church is also included in this tour.

Before we head back to Vallarta, we will visit the treasure of the area, the
Hacienda
Jalisco .This former silver hacienda is now operating as a bed and breakfast with a
museum. It was a favorite hideaway for legendary director John  Huston as well as his
friends, Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor.  Included is an informative guided tour of
the Hacienda and the museum and the best lunch that you can imagine.  Your meal
will be prepared by Pablo, the chef at the Hacienda, using locally grown organic
ingredients. Sorry, Pablo will not let anybody enter his kitchen, as the recipes are the
best kept secret of San Sebastian!!!!

Cost of the tour: Normal price 75US. September special: 65US
If you attend one of the Health Care Resource Presentations you receive an extra
discount and you pay only $59US

Transportation will be in comfortable Vans. Buses can´t make it to the plaza in San
Sebastian, and can also not reach Hacienda Jalisco. We work with small groups only
so hurry up with your reservations!

We were so happy that
somebody
recommended you on
Cruise Critics. Our tour
to San Sebastian was
wonderful with just the 5
of us. I had never seen a
coffee plantation before!
We will certainly share
with our friends the
benefits of taking a
"Superior" San
Sebastian tour.
