Copper Canyon package: 7 days/6 nights starting at 849US p.p.
Travel overnight by first class bus to the town of Los Mochis. At arrival a staff host will meet you for
your courtesy shuttle (about one hour) to the Colonial town of El Fuerte, founded in 1564. This
place is very famous, as it is the birthplace of Señor Diego de la Vega, better known as "El Zorro".
El Fuerte is the "gateway" to the Copper Canyon. You will check into the hotel Posada del Hidalgo

DAY 1/2 PVR-Los Mochis- El Fuerte
In El Fuerte you will have the rest of the afternoon off. We recommend you to do one of the
following activities; (not included)

- Walk around the Plaza, with its beautiful Church and the municipal
palace. It is like going back in time.
- Take a river cruise, down El Fuerte River. This is an excellent place for
birdwatching
- Take a tour to see the ancient petroglyphs
- Take a tour to the old Mayo Indian Village, where you can see how they
make their pottery and you might see some of their traditional dances.
Or relax and stay in the hotel with its nice courtyards/pool or have a massage
DAY 3 EL FUERTE-CEROCAHUI
Time to board the train!! Enjoy an early American breakfast (around 7am).
After breakfast you will transfer to the train station at El Fuerte (about 15
minutes). The train will leave around 8.30am. The Copper Canyon is about 4
times bigger than the Grand Canyon, and the famous Chepe Train will take you
via 86 tunnels and over 37 bridges from sea level to 7.200 feet. It took over
100 years to construct this railroad, and is truly an engineering marvel (N.G.).
Around 12.30pm you will arrive at the Bahuichivo train station, where you will
be greeted for your stay at the Mision Hotel in the town of Cerocahui. (40
minutes). We will check you in and will get ready for lunch. After lunch you have
the opportunity to see the waterfalls (not included), see how wine is made in
the hotel´s own winery, or visit the girls Tarahumara school. This is truly a
highlight of the trip, donations are highly appreciated! Dinner at the hotel,don´t
forget to try the house wine!

DAY 4 CEROCAHUI-BARRANCAS
Right after breakfast we take our first tour of the day in where you will ride
along a road (by van or bus) that will take you to 7,500 feet at the Gallego
Lookout Point to appreciate the grandeur of the Urique Canyon, the deepest
of all canyons. Bring extra batteries for your camera!
After that at 12:20 p.m. you re-board the Copper Canyon Train for another
thrilling train ride with beautiful landscapes, amazing views on the way, have
your camera ready. Lunch is served onboard the train. Arrive at Posada
Barrancas train station around 2:30 p.m. where you will be transferred to
Mirador Hotel (5 min). Check-In. This afternoon you will take our tour to
Balancing Rock, 3 Canyons Overlook Point included, so bring your camera
and have it ready!! This is a 2 and a half hour experience at Copper Canyon
that you cannot miss!! . Dinner is served in the panoramic restaurant of the
hotel.

Enjoy a breakfast with a magnificent view. This morning is for personal
activities, we suggest a Hummer Adventure Tour to see the Tarahumara Indian
Village that follows a hidden trail for the most dramatic and inspiring lookout
point of the Copper Canyon -- Not included in the package. Or, go horseback
riding if that appeals to you.
Enjoy lunch at noon in the main dining room. At 1.30 p.m. transfer to the train
station. In the afternoon you will arrive at Creel, a charming village. Walk
around in town, visit the Church, the museum and enjoy this town! You will stay
at the Best Western hotel or at Villa Mexicana

After breakfast we will take you on a tour to the Arareko lake, the valley of los
hongos, the caves of the tarahumaras, and the "frog" valley.
In the afternoon we board the train for the last time and will have a pretty long
trip to Chihuahua. Dinner will be served in the train. We arrive at night and will
bring you to The Palacio del Sol hotel in Chihuahua for a 1 night stay. (More
nights possible for a supplemental fee.)
After breakfast we will take you on a tour to the Arareko lake, the valley of los

Ensueño in Tlaquepaque for your shopping pleasure for a supplemental fee,
or let the driver bring you to the bus station where you take the bus to Puerto
Vallarta.
End of tour.
