So, what are we celebrating?
The 15th of September 1810, Miguel Hidalgo made the
famous shout (known as the “Grito”) for Mexico’s
independence from Spain.
If you are lucky to be in Mexico during this day, do go to
the Main square, anywhere in the country. You will see
that The President, or the Mayor (depending where you
will be) will repeat the "Shout" of Miguel Hidalgo.
Thousands of people will shout "Viva Mexico" and you will
witness how proud the Mexicans are of their country.
This year is extra special, as it is the Bi-Centenial, 200
years ago that Hidalgo made the "shout", but also, 100
years ago that the Mexican Revolution started, to achieve
democracy and Justice.
Mexico is celebrating September as "Independence
Month".
In many parts of the country along the highways
you can see the "Ruta 2010" signs. The main
squares are colored in Green, White and Red and
all over you see vendors selling flags, t-shirts,
hats and all kinds of stuff in the color of the flag.

What is new in Puerto Vallarta and at Superior Tours Vallarta?
Well, as you probably know, September is traditionally "low season" in Puerto Vallarta. Friends that live here
are taking a break before the high season is starting: some restaurants close, and some stores open less
hours than usual. Here, at Superior Tours we will be preparing also for the high season, as we have a lot going
on!
What are our plans?
We have several new tours. For our visitors that come by cruise ship, we now offer a city tour in combination
with a canopy tour for the price of only $98.50 per person. This 7 hour tour is a bargain if you compare it with
the price offered at the ship. For the city tour and canopy the cruise lines will charge you $170.00 US (prices
taken from the Carnival site, other cruise lines might have other rates). Besides the best price, we also offer a
"No Port No Pay" guarantee, we will pick you up right at the pier and we will not force you to stay several hours
in certain stores. In case you do not want to do the zip lining, no problem, you can do the city tour for only
$35US per person, and while your friends are zip lining you can swim in the river, stay in the restaurant area,
check out the petting zoo or take a little jungle hike. Click here for more info.
Also, in September we have several specials, that we offer in cooperation with Healthcare resources.
September 6 and 13, and possibly several other dates, we offer a "Hacienda Jalisco" special. This is a group
tour to wonderful San Sebastian. San Sebastian is not too far from Vallarta, but it is in the mountains so there
you can escape the high temperatures at least for the day. See more info here about this group tour, and the
most affordable tour currently offered in Vallarta to San Sebastian. Nobody else offers similar tours, as we are

Copper Canyon
We have put the date for our group tour to the Copper Canyon. Packages starting at only $849 US per person
for a week, including transportation from Puerto Vallarta, first class train tickets, hotels, tours and most meals.
